Sinaasappelparadijs

Sinaasappelparadijs is a digital notebook on the journey to Central Asia (traveling over several parts of the Old Silk Road) and East-Asia by Ramon & Linda between September 2008 and February 2010.
Before traveling, Linda used to work in a European Retail Management role of a Dutch fashion brand called Mexx. Linda’s main responsibilities were European Retail Operations Management and Retail Staff Training. She quit this job in order to start our travel in 2008. At this point Linda is writing her own book and works as life coach via her own organisation LindaCorstjens.com & dreamsandco.org. Dreams & Co. donates 10% of the profit to help young people in Asia to follow their dreams in a working environment.

In working life, Ramon is an international public speaker on creativity, innovation consultant and ideaDJ, inspiring people and organisations to think differently and providing them tools with which any person can discover the deeper possibilities of his/her own mind and act upon them. You can check out his speaker website @ RamonVullings.com or his company 21 Lobsterstreet @ 21Lobsterstreet.com.
There is a saying that goes as follows: ‘Your spirit travels at the speed of a camel’. We try to travel as much as possible over land, by bus and train and where needed by boat. It has given us a great opportunity to observe and connect. And no need for our spirit to catch up all the time..

We created this website as a reflection of our impressive and touching journey. During our travels we made quite some notes and read relevant books on the countries and cultures we visited. Feel free to check them out and be inspired!

Enjoy the map, the pictures and videos and see also the answers we got from people we met along the road on the questions we took from our friends.

We received so much along the way, it felt right to give back what we could.

Happy exploring!

Ramon Vullings & Linda Corstjens

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful,
we must carry it with us or we find it not.
